The Beautiful Dominican Republic

Christopher Columbus imagined that he was seeing a hidden paradise when he saw the Dominican Republic. No wonder, it's a gorgeous island and it has its share of exciting and fun attractions.

The Dominican Republic is home to such a great amount of culture and history that it's a must-visit spot for those looking for an exciting vacation. The Dominican Republic is a very popular vacation spot for tourists today, and the island is dotted with resorts.

Tourists visiting the Dominican Republic love the golf courses and the beautiful ambers. They can also find themselves taking tours through the forests, distilleries, and cigar factories. The malls offer items at unbelievable prices.

There are several regions in the Dominican Republic, and some of them have been developed into destinations for vacationers. Punta Cana is located on the Eastern part of the island, and is now one of the most-visited vacation spots on Earth.

Punta Cana boasts miles of beautiful beaches with unique resorts, and the prices are reasonable enough that many families can afford them. Punta Cana has so many resorts that it's difficult to count them.

Puerto Plata is another very popular vacation spot, located on the north side of the island. It also hosts many all-inclusive resorts, with many of them sitting close to the beach. Thus these resorts, such as Playa Dorada, are popular with surfers and wind surfers.

Located on the southeast part of the island, La Romana is another popular tourist destination. It has a museum that displays artifacts from the natives of the island, and a ferry that brings you to Catalina Island. La Romana has a few all-inclusive resorts, but their number isn't as high as in Punta Cana or Puerto Plata.
